#skinART is a pretty laid back place to chill, but there are certain things we should all do to keep things running smoothing, especially growing as fast as we are!
You do not have to be modified to chat in #skinART!An interest in body art is all that need apply. Especially considering that body painters may not engage in any permanent modifications at all, but they are in the habit of using the human canvas and are therefore welcome here!
English Only ChanneldeviantART spans internationally, and as such its members speak countless languages; however, in order for everyone to be able to understand one another in #skinART, we have to ask that people only speak in english out of courtesy for one another. Side conversations that go on in other languages can create frustration in a busy chatroom, and as such is impolite.
If English is not your first language, feel free to see if anyone else speaks your native language in order to help you translate or better follow conversation.
Respect one another!Anything related to the body is a very personal matter. Whether it's a shot of a nude model with dazzling body paint or a heavily tattooed member showing off his or her ink, be respectful of one another and abstain from mocking body types, sizes, shapes, etc. Such matters are irrelevant, especially if you are here for the love of expression through the body as medium.
In addition, it is important to remember that body modification can be controversial and invasive, and as such not all modifications are everyone's cup of tea. Be respectful of one another's choice of modification type and style, and in turn your body art decisions will be respected as well.
This one is a simple matter of the Golden Rule, and anyone old enough to be modified or appear nude in paint is old enough to be accountable for his/her behavior.
Foul language is OKAY!If you are sensitive to cursing and swearing, we suggest you join another channel. #skinART is a private channel and therefore is not required to impose restrictions on explicit language. Additionally, it is assumed that the majority of users are 18+ due to the legality of modification; that or younger users are heading in that direction anyway

No, but seriously. Nothing said here would be worse than anyone hears or uses themselves at school. F-bomb ahoy!
Don't bug the moderators for privilegesWe promote pretty regularly to FourGauge, which is the member privclass and the only one between guests and moderators. If you haven't been promoted it's probably because you A) haven't said anything yet or B) there aren't any mods active at the moment. Be patient. And don't ask to moderate, as requests will be ignored.
Don't spamWe all want to share pictures of our body mods and artwork, but please do so with consideration to the fact that this is a CHAT room. We loves pictures, but links are the best way to share your work with us because then the people who are interested can click, and it doesn't disrupt conversations by flooding.
If your body mods are on deviantART, you can thumb them, but again links are best.
Do not thumb works unrelated to your body art. This will result in a warning, a kick, and eventually a ban if you repeatedly do this.
Flooding and spamming unrelated to links and images is also a "no."
Not Fair!If you have a problem that occurred in the room, note a founder (^
opioid, ^
just-an-artist,^
stigmatattoo) with your issue and we'll try to get back to you in a timely manner. The room is logged by a bot and as such chat logs can and will be referenced.
management reserves the right to refuse serviceEventsFounders as well as moderators can be noted or approached with your ideas for contests, events, and projects of interest. This channel is definitely as much about education as it is about fun and games, so features, projects, collaborations, discussions are all part of what #skinART is about!
